Description
Build the car, attach the solar panel, and watch it go for a run in the sun.
As well as the knowledge the person building it will gain, they will also have the satisfaction of constructing something from scratch, including assembling the motor and chassis, affixing the wheels, making up the gearbox, and attaching the solar panel.
But if the sun is reluctant to come out then that's no problem, because the car can also run on battery power, simply flip a switch on the car's chassis and the battery will take up the strain.
The car is 21cm long and 8cm wide, has an impressive top speed of over 3 meters a second and can go up hills of 30 degrees or less. It is also remarkably easy to assemble and operate.
